Mayor Daniel Lurie is proposing to balance the city’s budget in part through cuts to the nonprofits and other service providers that help people throughout San Francisco stay housed and healthy. The cuts would hit the Tenderloin especially hard, likely causing quality of life to drop for many here. At the rally, community leaders will speak on the state of play, and why it’s so important that the mayor and legislators find other ways to trim City Hall’s budget.
